Best time to enjoy a holiday to Tanzania?
There are two rainy seasons in Tanzania and these dictate the best safari destinations for each season. The short rains from November to January bring afternoon showers. The long rains from late March to early June mean longer, more severe downpours. From June onwards, the temperature rises agreeably and the drier weather makes the southern Game Parks more accessible. The coastal areas of Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia Island and southern Tanzania are generally hot and humid all year round. These areas enjoy cool breezes from June to September.
