Botswana
Papyrus fringed channels, hippo snort or rush into the water, disturbed from their daytime resting on a sandbank getting your adrenaline rushing! The most beautiful sunsets, bush dinner, game viewing and vast deserts make Botswana an interesting country if contrasts. Were it not for some really special graben faults in the Earth the Okavango would never be there – come discover the magic for yourself.
Namibia
Incredible wide open spaces, long roads, ancient, shifting sand dunes and deep canyons make this country incredibly fascinating. Journey to the North and the border with Angola and visit Epupa Falls or Popa Falls, the river and her waters are the lifeblood of this area. Its a vast contrast to the deserts and canyons. Zambia
On the border it shares with Zimbabwe is the famed Victoria Falls – called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Smoke That Thunders” – plunging a misty 120m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint. Walk the rainforests and watch as the water droplets flow upwards from the pressure! Venture North to South Luangwa which has the highest density of Leopard of any park in Africa.
Zimbabwe
On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 120m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where white-water rafting and bungee-jumping are on the cards. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools National Parks, home to hippos, rhinos, and birdlife. World Heritage Sites and guaranteed Big 5 game viewing.
South Africa
The Western Cape offers beaches, lush winelands around Stellenbosch and Paarl, craggy cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope, forest and lagoons along the Garden Route, and the city of Cape Town, beneath flat-topped Table Mountain. And that’s just one of the nine provinces – imagine what you can see in the other eight!
