Description

Mobile safaris offer a unique approach allowing a truly immersive experience in the beauty of the bush. Enjoy a mokoro ride deep into the lush reed filled waterways of the Okavango Delta. Day and night drives in open safari vehicles, luxurious accommodation and open air hot showers.

Mobile safaris focuses on simplicity, nature and to offer a safari experience on the move with fully serviced mobile camps. Safaris are designed to achieve a state of harmony, and a celebration of balance and abundance.

All the campsites have been carefully selected to offer the most immersive experiences each area has to offer.

Both black and white rhino have been reintroduced in the reserve, although sightings are still rare. All the other Big Five are easily spotted – even the hardest to find, the leopard – are quite relaxed here. Wild dog sightings (a once in a lifetime experience) are some of the best in Africa. The best time to go to see Wild Dogs is the middle of the dry season, when the area is most flooded. Food is usually plentiful and its possible to find the dogs denning.

For those who enjoy birding, there are some 500 different woodlands and water birds. The best time is during the wet months, from November to April, when summer migrants make the reserve their temporary home. Wildlife viewing is better from May to October when the brush has died down and the animals are easier to see.
