Adventure Luangwa – 8 Days
South Luangwa National Park
Adventure Luangwa focuses solely on South Luangwa National Park. After transferring from Mfuwe Airport to the banks of the Luangwa river settle in before your afternoon game drive. This elegant bush camp is crafted from natural materials. The camp has eight private and peaceful chalets, while it also has two luxury suites – each with a private viewing deck. You can enjoy superb wildlife viewing during your time here, either on a game drive or walking safari adventure. Immerse yourself in the lodge’s natural hot pool after a day out on safari, followed by a starlit dinner. Explore the area for Lion, Elephant, Hippo and over 300 bird species. On foot or on game drives this area is sure to exceed your wildlife expectations.
Island Bush Camp
On your third day you will game drive to Island Bush Camp. A rustic lodge on the banks of the Luangwa River, the camp’s eight stilted chalets all overlook the river and have superb views of the surrounding wilderness. After one night here you will head to the newest camp, Three Rivers. This is a luxury tented camp in true ‘Out of Africa’ style. All tents have king-size four poster beds with mosquito nets and adjoining bathrooms.
Three Rivers Camp
You will spend 2 days at the Three Rivers camp enjoying morning and evening game drives as well as walking safaris. On your last morning you will gave drive to River Lodge.
River Lodge
Arriving at River Lodge in the early afternoon there is time to settle in before tea and your game drive. Walking safaris and idyllic location ensure excellent birding and wildlife sightings on drive or the comfort of your private deck.

Getting There
By Plane
You can fly directly into Lusaka with either Emirates, Ethiopian Airways, Kenya Airways or South African Airways.
On arrival in Lusaka your representative will meet you and assist you onto your light aircraft flight bound for Mfuwe Airport. On arrival you will once again be met and you will have a 90 minute game drive transfer to the camp.

Full Itinerary
Day 1 – Kafunta River Lodge
Flight Lusaka – Mfuwe with Proflight (70 mins). Arrival in Mfuwe where our driver will collect you at the airport and transfer you to Kafunta River Lodge (50 mins) passing through various villages. Depending on your arrival time you will participate in the afternoon safari leaving the lodge at 15h30.
Days 2 – 3 Kafunta River Lodge
Enjoy an early breakfast and depart for your morning game drive at around 06h30. You will be back at the lodge around 10.30. Relax at the pool, book a spa treatment or enjoy a siesta on your viewing deck before meeting for afternoon tea at 15h00. The afternoon game drive departs at 15h.30 and returns at 19h30.
Day 4 – Island Bush Camp
Today you participate in the morning game drive at Kafunta River Lodge. After brunch at the lodge, you will depart for the two-hour transfer to Island Bush Camp. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our camp staff and you can choose to jump on the departing game drive or rather settle in nicely in camp at your leisure and enjoy the sunset from the privacy pf your viewing deck while sipping your sundowner. Dinner is served al fresco in company of the camp manager and our other guests.
Day 5 – 6 – Three Rivers Camp
An early continental breakfast is served by the fireplace before heading out on your morning activity, either a walk or a game drive. You will be back at the lodge for brunch and a siesta. The afternoon game drive departs around 15h30 and returns in time for dinner. Decide to spend the night in your tent or under the stars on the appointed platform next to your tent.
Day 7 – 8 – Kafunta River Lodge
This morning you will have a walk or game drive, followed by an early brunch at Three Rivers Camp, before the transfer back to Kafunta River Lodge. You will be arriving at the lodge around 14h30 and you can relax before joining afternoon tea and the afternoon game drive.
Day 9 – Departure
Depending on our flight departure time, you may have the time for a last morning game drive in the park. Our driver will then take you to the airport, with an optional stop at Project Luangwa’s craft shop or Tribal Textiles (to be scheduled in advance, allow an extra 45 mins) in time for the flight’s check-in time.
