Description

Baines River Camp

Lower Zambezi National Park

Open Year Round

Nestled amongst the trees on the banks of the Zambezi River, Baines River Camp boasts fantastic views into Mana Pools National Park. The camp is situated in the Game Management Area of the Zambezi Valley adjacent to the National Park. Game viewing here is excellent and its not uncommon to have wildlife roaming within the camp itself.

The main lodge is set right on the edge of the rivers banks and views between the Jackalberry trees across the river are incredible. A swimming pool on the front deck is the perfect location between game drives to cool off, read and enjoy a cool drink. The lounge has very comfortable seating and the communal dining table is open to enjoy the views and hear the night sounds at dinner.

Pre dinner drinks around the fire and dinner with the other guests is a lively affair discussing the days game sightings from vehicles or by canoe along the river. Meals are sumptuous and very tasty. Catch and release fishing is great fun here.

Activities at Baines include morning and afternoon game drives, boat cruises, catch and release fishing and walking safaris.
