&Beyond Sandibe

Moremi Game Reserve

&Beyond Sandibe lies adjacent to the famous Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. The lodge has a very unique design for a safari lodge in Africa and lies amongst a stand of Palms, Baobabs and riverine vegetation.  The varied plants and trees’ are interspersed with wide open flood plains and the clear channels of the Okavango.

Sandibe has twelve suites, two of which connect to one another for families travelling together. In line with low impact each suite is raised on a wooden platform also ensuring excellent views over the tall reeds and out onto the floodplains. Sliding mesh doors open onto a tiered deck where you will find a private plunge pool and sala. The sala is the perfect place for an afternoon nap, game viewing, birding or simply relaxing.

Each en suite bathroom has twin copper vanity basins with a shower open to the bush.

A sandy path within the camp leads to a separate building with a massage room and a single massage table. A small gym has a rowing machine, treadmill, bicycle and bench with weights. There is also an area for yoga, Pilates and stretching.

Safari Activities

Game activities at Sandibe include both morning and afternoon game drives in 4 wheel drive vehicles. Professional guides will also take you out on a walking safari revealing the smaller and more intricate creatures of the bush.

Game viewing in this area has always been good and we have had excellent Leopard sightings each time we have visited. Large prides of Lion with cubs, Lechwe, Hippo and Buffalo were common sightings.
