Description
Changa Safari Camp
Hwange National Park
Changa Safari Camp is set within a private concession and boasts beautiful views over the Matusadona Mountains. With several kilometres of private shoreline the temptation to relax on the sand with a sun downer after a days safari is worth it. This type of location is not the norm and quite unique for a safari camp in Africa.
Located approximately 40 kilometres South West of Kariba Town the camp overlooks the vast Lake Kariba. Best described as simple yet luxurious Changa Safari Camp provides superb value for money in a pristine location of this famous national park.
With just six luxury en suite tents available the decor is simple yet tasteful with some very special African furnishings. Two family tents complete the accommodations at Changa and all the tents have private decks as well as an outdoor bath and shower.
Matusadona National Park is best known for it’s huge Elephant populations as well as a prolific variety of bird life. With over 350 different bird species recorded and identified in the area. Breathtaking scenery in almost every direction you look the camp is nestled beneath shady Mopane trees. The camp and its location all lends itself to complete relaxation. Fish Eagle call often from the dead trees’ that line the lake shore and sunsets over Lake Kariba are truly magical.
Meals are social affairs with all guests at the same table. Conversation is lively discussing the days game drives, fishing expeditions, boat cruises and walking safaris conducted by excellent guides. Food is freshly prepared in camp everyday and is nothing short of remarkable in presentation and absolutely delicious.
