Chitwa Chitwa Safari Lodge
Chitwa Chitwa Safari Lodge offers an exclusive and luxurious family safari experience within the famous Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. All of the six luxurious suites over-look an immense watering hole with resident hippos and crocodiles. The vast decking area with its own private pool is the perfect place to lie back and relax.
The large suites have gorgeous bathrooms with views of the waterhole and an outdoor shower. Inside, there is a spacious seating area with a fire place for chilly winter evenings. Families with children under 12 years of age can all share one of the suites, or older families can go for the larger family suite which has inter-connecting en-suite rooms. At the main lodge, there is a large infinity pool, as well as a gorgeous communal area.
The lodge is unfenced which means that wildlife is free to roam and frequently does at all hours. All guests are escorted to and from their rooms at night for their own safety.
Game drives are communal and whilst there are no guarantees about what you will and won’t see, Sabi Sands is famous, in particular, for its leopard. The reserve is 65.000 hectare in total. Walking safaris are also possible at Chitwa Chitwa Safari Lodge and is possibly the best way to discover the intricacies of the African bush.
This is a popular lodge for honeymooners and couples as well as families.
This is one of the very few safari lodges in South Africa where the luxurious accommodation, location and incredible game viewing all come together to ensure a magical African safari. Consider combining your safari in South Africa with a visit to Victoria Falls.
Our expert travel designers would recommend Victoria Falls Island Treehouse. If you are looking for absolute luxury for your safari to Africa then explore Londolozi Varty Camp.
