Description
Chobe Safari Lodge
Chobe National Park
Chobe Safari Lodge is ideally situated on the banks of the Chobe River and overlooks Namibia and Sedudu Island. Sunsets from the bar deck are stunning. An afternoon boat cruise activity is highly recommended for game viewing from your boat into Chobe National Park. General game such as Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Waterbuck and hippo are just some of the sightings you will enjoy.
It is common to see very large herds of Elephant and Buffalo on Sedudu Island and if you are fortunate you will get to witness Elephants swimming across the channel – a truly remarkable sighting especially when just the tip of the trunk is visible for breathing. Lion are occasionally sighted along the river banks in Chobe National Park.
Accommodation
Rooms at Chobe Safari Lodge are luxuriously appointed and situated in unique surroundings. The grounds themselves are a game walk all on their own! Vervet monkeys, warthog and many species of indigenous birds call the area their home – be cautious to keep your room doors closed in case some come to visit uninvited.
Along with many species of big game, Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephant in Africa. Game drives depart early each morning with elephant, buffalo and lion just some of the Big 5 that can be seen. Sunset boat cruises, Victoria Falls day trips, fishing expeditions and scenic flights are all available from the lodge.
