Your safari starts and ends in Nairobi.

Our Classic Kenya tour explores some of the most famous parks, reserves and luxurious quality camps that Kenya has to offer. Designed for Africa safari enthusiasts as well as containing an element of romance this tour is also ideal for a honeymoon.

At twenty two thousand square kilometres in size Tsavo is one of Kenya’s largest national parks. The park was split in half by the railway from Mombasa into the interior. Two nights at Finch Hattons in luxurious accommodation with beautiful views of the springs and surrounding forest. This camp will fill every desire you have for a safari camp and more – library, swimming pool, open terrace and some of the most delicious meals ever.

Three nights at Segera Retreat will provide incredible game viewing in the Laikipia Plateau. Each large bedroom has an en suite bathroom, private deck, jacuzzi and excellent privacy. The main area comprises the Paddock House, Wine Tower and renovated stables that boast some excellent quality works of art.

The famous Masai Mara region is home to the great migration and excellent year round game viewing for your safari to Africa. Cottars offers day and night game drives, fishing, swimming pool and some of the finest cuisine. Big Five sightings are a regularity in the Olderkesi Conservancy and a great location for the annual migration. Cultural visits and other community  interactions reveal the stark differences to our daily lives.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with KLM, Swiss Air, Egypt Air, Emirates, Qatar, Lufthansa or South African Airways.

On your arrival in Nairobi you will be met by your safari representative who transfer you to your first nights accommodation at One Forty Eight.

A visit to the Karen Blixen Museum is possible this afternoon.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 – One Forty Eight

On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport your safari representative will meet you and assist you with your luggage. Your hotel is a short drive from the airport.

Your private driver will escort you to the Karen Blixen Museum if you would like to visit. The Giraffe Sanctuary and David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust are also possible excursions.

Your stay at One Forty Eight includes breakfast.

Day 2 and 3 – Finch Hattons Luxury Camp

This morning your private guide will collect you from the hotel and drive you to Wilson Airport for a flight to Finch Hattons airstrip in Tsavo west National Park.

You will spend two nights here enjoying morning and afternoon game drives.

Your stay includes all meals, activities, use of the spa (excluding treatments), laundry and all local brand drinks.

Day 4, 5 and 6 – Segera Retreat

This morning you will fly from Finch Hattons airstrip to Nanyuki Airstrip via Wilson Airport. This is the Laikipia area of Kenya with Mount Kenya lying to the Northwest.

Spend three nights at Segera enjoying morning and afternoon game drives and bush walks.Your stay includes all meals, local brand drinks, game drives, walking safaris, sleep outs, visit to the local homestead and other community activities. Laundry is also included. A private vehicle is available for your sole use.

Day 7, 8 and 9 – Cottars Camp

This morning you will fly from Nanyuki to the Masai Mara. On your arrival your guide will meet you and transfer you to Cottars Camp.

Your three night stay in a luxury tent includes all meals, morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, local brand drinks, night drives, canvas bush baths, kids activities, cultural visits, laundry and nanny service for the kids if needed.

Day 10 – Departure

This morning you will fly from the Masai Mara airstrip ack to Wilson Airport. Your safari representative will meet you and drive you to Jomo Kenyatta International for your onward flight arrangements.
