Our Delta Wild Encounters is an adventurous exploration of the Okavango Delta. We have chosen the most iconic places in both the Selinda Reserve, and the Okavango, known for their excellent wildlife. Great Plains Conservations Duba Plains Camp has been completely renovated for the discerning safari lovers. Extended, upgraded and absolutely luxurious. Zarafa Camp is luxury personified and offers game drives and walking safaris in the Selinda Reserve. This private concession ensures minimal disturbance and the most authentic wildlife interactions. How to Get There

Fly in

Fly in to Maun in Botswana from a variety of different locations. Airlines that fly to Maun include South African Airways and SA Airlink.

On arrival in Maun you will be met by your safari representative and assisted onto a light aircraft for your flight to the Linyanti.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 to 3 – Duba Plains

Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be greeted by a member of our team who will assist you onto a scheduled charter flight. From here, you will be flown to Duba Plains, Omdop airstrip.

Your first flight over this pristine water wilderness will leave lasting impressions. Keep a look out for hippos in the waterways and elephants amongst the trees.

Duba Plains Camp is built on an island shaded by large Ebony, Fig and Garcinia trees, and surrounded by expansive plains. The camp offers adventurous guests game drives, and boating when water levels permit. Night drives provide incredible opportunities to photograph Africa’s elusive nocturnal animals in action. Lechwe, Buffalo, Elephant, Tsessebe and Warthog dot the savannah, whilst Hippo and Hyena are found in the deeper channels of the delta.

Be sure to watch the National Geographic documentary, Relentless Enemies, before you arrive. The classic Lion and Buffalo footage was filmed at Duba.

Your stay includes all meals, scheduled wildlife activities, laundry, conservancy fees, return airstrip transfers, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding imported premium drinks and champagne).

Day 4 and 5 – Zarafa Camp

Enjoy a short game drive to Duba Plains Omdop airstrip where a scheduled charter aircraft will be waiting to fly you to Selinda airstrip.

The Selinda Spillway is an ancient waterway home to large herds of elephant and buffalo.

The intimate Zarafa Camp is situated along the banks of the pristine Zibadianja Lagoon. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a bygone era whilst experiencing exhilarating wildlife encounters. Sumptuous tents offer exceptional views of the lagoon — each with an ensuite bathroom that boasts an al fresco and outdoor shower.

Your stay includes all meals, scheduled activities, laundry, park fees, return airstrip transfers, local brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, complimentary use of one pair of Swarovski HD binoculars, a professional Canon Camera Body and Lens kit per tent.

Day 6 to 8 – Sandibe Safari Lodge

Embark on a short game drive to Selinda airstrip where a scheduled charter aircraft will be waiting to fly you to Chitabe airstrip.

Your destination is situated in an area of golden-grassed floodplains inhabited by a staggering variety of wildlife.

Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is situated on a permanent channel of the Okavango Delta, adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. With exclusive traversing rights over 270 km2 of wilderness in a private concession, this site was specifically chosen for its extraordinary beauty and proximity to the game-rich grassy plains. Sandibe’s raised guest areas and suites look out onto the Santantadibe Channel, providing spectacular Okavango Delta views.

Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits, beers, refreshments on game drives, scheduled safari activities, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry as well as transfers to and from the airstrip.

Indulge in a full-day picnic with your guide, tracker and butler. Enjoy a morning of game viewing, take a siesta under the large Jackalberry and Fig trees. It is a magical experience.

Day 9 – Departure

Enjoy a short game drive to Chitabe airstrip where a scheduled charter aircraft will be waiting to fly you to Maun International Airport.

Enjoy the last views of the sparkling lagoons and palm tree islands as you fly over this water wonderland for one last time.
