Description

Dunes & Seaside

Little Kulala, Strand Hotel Swakopmund, Damaraland Camp and Little Ongava

Your journey starts and ends in Windhoek, Namibia.

Submerged into the endless deserts the dunes & seaside tour provides stark contrasts to the varying habitats that Namibia has to offer. The shifting dunes of Sossusvlei are some of the highest in the world and are in a constant change of flux. Winds shape them, move them and carve the landscape all at the same time.

Visit Dead Vlei, Sesriem Canyon and the Sossusvlei dune fields. Embark on an early morning balloon safari and take in the incredible vastness of this part of the desert. The view is unbelievable and difficult to comprehend at first. Sunrise is the best time to experience the balloon ride and its well worth the early morning wake up call.

From the dunes to the seaside and after an hours light aircraft flight you will find yourself in the modern town of Swakopmund. Replete with pubs and restaurants this small German colonial town is quaint and beautiful.

From the seaside you will return to the semi-deserts of Namibia and head to Twyfelfontein (Doubtful Fountain) where you can discover ancient rock art and enjoy some incredible star lit skies again. Sleep out under the stars to really enjoy this view.

Morning and afternoon game drives at the Ongava private reserve will satisfy the craving of big game sightings after the smaller creatures of the deserts.
