Ekorian’s Mugie Camp
Mugie Conservancy
Ekorian’s Mugie Camp lies in the private and secluded Mugie Conservancy in the North of Kenya. The guest experience here goes far beyond a mere safari in Africa. The camp was designed by the owners to be both ecologically friendly as well as very peaceful.
The camp caters to both couples and families on safari with a host of activities for all ages. The Mugie Conservancy is home to a very healthy diversity of wildlife including big cats like Lion and Cheetah as well as Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra and Oryx. The Mugie reservoir is an important water source and is often frequented by splashing Elephants which guests can enjoy from a kayak.
Cultural visits to local villages, training exercises with anti-poaching bloodhounds and learning about the Laikipia Predator Project are just a few of the activities possible. Day and night game drives, camel treks and fishing with a resident habituated Giraffe.
Safari Tents
Mugie Camp has just 6 tents that are all raised on wooden decks and look out over the bush with a small private deck to the front of each. All can be made up as doubles or twin bed configurations and the family tent has a small annex. Tents do not have electricity as the camp is completely solar powered
The camp is surrounded by a low stone wall and an electrified fence for safety making it ideal for children. A swimming pool for the hotter days is close to the main guest area.
