Description
Entamanu Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Open Year Round
Opened in 2016, Entamanu Ngorongoro enjoys an isolated location with breathtaking views of the Olduvai Gorge, Gol Mountains and the plains of the Serengeti. This is truly a spectacular location for sunrises and sunsets, though, be prepared for cold nights and the occasional strong winds.
The vegetation around the lodge is quite forested and sightings of Giraffe – not found on the crater floor – are quite common. The camp has also been built so that it can be removed and leave no trace whatsoever, a condition of the local Masai tribe before it was built.
The main guest tent has two open and spacious lounge areas as well as a dining room. A deck wraps itself around the structure which has lovely views and a small grass area for children to play. A sacred Fig Tree is often the location for Masai ceremonies which guests are invited to observe.
Accommodation
The 7 bedroom tents at Entamanu Ngorongoro are set either side of the main guest tent. Two of these tents are family units that share a bathroom. All the rooms are very spacious and décor has been used that creates a very warm and relaxed environment. There is also a shaded deck that has comfortable chairs and of course incredible views.
Amenities in the rooms are excellent with mosquito repellant, charging points and lounge chairs. The en-suite bathrooms are separated by a curtain and have twin vanity basins, toilet and shower.
