Fig Tree Bush Camp is located in a remote area of Kafue National Park and connected to Mukambi Safari Lodge as a sister camp. Nestled under a giant Fig tree the camp overlooks a sandy lagoon that keeps it’s water year round. The lagoons water attracts a wide diversity of wildlife making for perfect armchair game viewing on your safari.

The lagoon is a magnet for the predators that lie in wait and guests can enjoy sightings of Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Cheetah and occasionally Wild Dogs. The main guest area of the camp comprises an infinity swimming pool, boma area. lounge and double hammock for relaxing between safari game drives.

Platform Safari Suites

Fig Tree Bush Camps safari tents are all raised 3 meters off the ground providing stunning views over the lagoon and the water hole. Two of the suites are twins and two are double bed, all with en-suite facilities. Each suite has a deck at the front with chairs for relaxing and game viewing from the privacy of your suite.

The camp also has star beds on 4 meter high platforms and guests are encouraged to make use of these at no extra cost. This experience can be booked on arrival or in advance.

Fig Tree Bush Camp activities focus on game drives and walking safaris and in this remote area of Kafue game viewing is excellent.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly in to Lusaka or Livingstone with British Airways, Kenya Airways, Emirates or Ethiopian Airlines.

On your arrival at the airport you will be met by your safari representative and assisted onto a light aircraft for the flight to Chunga airstrip.

Drive

Road transfers can be arranged from Lusaka or Livingstone and self drive is also possible.
