Flatdogs Camp
South Luangwa National Park
Flatdogs is situated very close to the entrance to South Luangwa National Park. The camp lies on the banks of the river close the the town of Mfuwe. As the area bordering the park is a Game Management Area wildlife is free to roam as it pleases. Elephant are regular visitors to the camp and from the swimming pool Hippo are just on the opposite bank. Game viewing from the camp itself can be very rewarding.
Bird watching is also excellent here. Riparian, riverine and savanna species occur in and around the camp. Flatdogs camp is well established with their own restaurant and bar area as well as an idyllic swimming pool for cooling off between activities. Night drives in the park are also possible though possibly art an additional cost. However, a night drive is well worth the experience of experiencing nocturnal creatures most people never get to see.
