Kapama Southern Camp is situated in the South of the private 13 000 hectare Big 5 game reserve. The lodge offers luxury game lodge accommodation, warm hospitality and excellent service. The setting is tranquil and can be savoured by the most discerning nature lover.

All 15 suites at Southern Camp have full en-suite bathrooms with beautiful views of the surrounding scenery and birdlife. Each private patio is the perfect place to enjoy relaxing sundowners while game watching at the same time. The ten villas have their own private pool, inside and outside showers, large minibar, espresso machines and a romantic fireplace open to the bath and bedroom. Three of the Villas have been designed with families in mind with a second connecting bedroom for the children with its own bath, shower, double vanity and outside patio.

Enjoy unsurpassed views over the waterhole frequented by animals throughout the day. A wooden deck surrounds a rim-flow swimming pool. Breakfast and lunch are served in the open-sided dining room which offers a relaxing dining experience. Gourmet meals are served in the main dining room or in the outside boma under a star-studded sky.

The wine cellar is a focal point with a fine South African estate collection showcased behind frameless glass. The traditional outdoor boma is the favoured setting for dinner, weather permitting. Illuminated by firelight and starry skies guests enjoy diverse and tasteful cuisine prepared by chefs right before them. Open fires are often used for cooking in the traditional African style.

Guests enjoy two game drives daily with experienced and qualified ranger and tracker teams. The game drives are conducted within the Big 5 Kapama Private Game Reserve ensuring guests have a superb safari experience

Fly In

Fly in to Eastgate Airport with SA Airlink from O R Tambo Airport in Johannesburg or from Cape Town.

On arrival you will be met by your guide who will drive you to the camp.
