Description

Kaskaz Mara Camp

Northern Serengeti

On the border with Kenya, the Masai Mara National Reserve and close to the riverbanks of the Mara River, lies Kaskaz Mara Camp. The camp has an enviable location looking out over an open plain, a space ideal for Wildebeest and Zebra to sleep at night and provides some very interesting nighttime sounds.

The camp is an easy drive to Kogatende Airstrip as well as some of the more famous river crossing sites where the action is literally non-stop from dawn to dusk. Kaskaz Mara offers a wide array of activities including game drives, walking safaris with armed scouts, balloon safaris and sublime bush meals.

The camp is family friendly for children 5 years and older but is not fenced and children will require constant supervision. The camp is very well known for great sightings of Lion, Leopard, Black Rhino, Buffalo, Hyena and occasional sightings of Wild Dog. The balloon excursion is an incredible way to witness river crossings from the air so if you don’t mind quite an early wake up this is well worth it and you will get some amazing photographs.

Accommodation

With just 10 tented suites at Kaskaz Mara, plus a honeymoon suite, the camp is small enough to be intimate and give excellent service. Tents all look out over the open plain with a small deck area at the front for relaxing during the day. Beautifully furnished and spacious tents have draped material ceilings, a couch at the entrance and chairs on the front deck.

The en-suite bathroom in each tent has double vanity basins, showers and complimentary toiletries for guests.
