Elevated on a small ridge on the banks of the Zambezi River, Kayila Camp captures the age old tradition of a luxury safari overlooking the famous Mana Pools National Park. The camp enjoys an 8 700 acre private game area within the Lower Zambezi National Park.

The main guest area is a large expansive house with sweeping views across the floodplains and river. The lower level of the house has a swimming pool and sun loungers as well as a fire pit for pre dinner drinks and sundowners.

Activities at the camp are varied with game drives both morning and afternoon as well as walking safaris, birding, boat cruises and catch and release fishing. The Big Four are seen regularly and game in the area is extremely plentiful. Night drives are also well worth doing.

The suites are all connected to the main guest area with raised wooden walkways for safety as game are free to roam the grounds. Cuisine at the lodge is an experience in itself, simple yet delicious.

Luxury Suites

The 4 luxury suites at Kayila embody the luxury and elegant designs of her African ancestry with incredible views and privacy. Each room has 2 queen size beds, a small lounge area and a private deck for relaxing game viewing.

The en-suite bathrooms have both a shower and bath with twin vanity basins. The suites are spacious with natural light and cool night breezes. All the beds are protected by mosquito nets.

Children under 12 years are welcome as a group booking only.

How to get there

Fly In

Fly in to Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport with Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines or Kenya Airways.

On arrival in Lusaka you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you onto a light aircraft for your 30 minute flight to Kayila airstrip where you will be met by your guide for the 5 minute drive to camp.
