Ol Pejeta and Naboisho Conservancies

This epic safari journey takes in some of the best and exclusive conservancies in Kenya. After an evening in Nairobi you will fly to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with stunning views of Mount Kenya en route. Arriving at Nanyuki airstrip the adventure begins with a game drive to Ol Pejeta Bush Camp.

Spending three nights at Ol Pejeta you will enjoy morning and evening game drives as well as bush breakfasts and bush picnics. Here you will be able to take part in tracking Lions and visiting the Chimpanzee sanctuary. The camp is the only one in this area affording you complete exclusivity on game drives and walking safaris.

On the fifth day you will board another light aircraft for your flight to Mara Ol Seki airstrip in the Naboisho Conservancy where you will spend three nights at Encounter Mara Camp. This area is well known for excellent big cat sightings including Lion, Leopard and Cheetah on the wide open plains.

The Naboisho Conservancy and Ol Pejeta are ideal locations for this Kenya Big 5 safari to fulfill your wildlife tick lists. Birding is also excellent in both areas and guides have excellent knowledge of the species in their areas.

Night drives and walking safaris will ensure excellent wildlife sightings. Predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dogs and Hyena. Many species of antelope occur in both these conservancies from the smaller Thomson’s Gazelle to Buffalo and Zebra.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with KLM, Swiss Air, Egypt Air, Emirates, Qatar, Lufthansa or South African Airways.

On arrival in Nairobi you will be met by your safari representative who will drive you to your hotel for the night. Spend one night at the Ole Sereni Hotel.

The following morning you will be collected by your guide and drive to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to Nanyuki and Ol Pejeta.

Full Itinerary

Ole Sereni Hotel – Nairobi

On your arrival in Nairobi you will spend one night at the Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi. Situated within a game park the hotel is the perfect location from which to start your safari. Sit back and relax for the afternoon watching Giraffe, Zebra and antelope drinnking at the water hole.

Ol Pejeta Camp – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

This morning your guide will drive you the short distance to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to Nanyuki Airstrip. One the way you can enjoy some beautiful views of Mount Kenya to your right. On arrival an Nanyuki you will be met with drinks and cool facecloths on the runway. the camp is a short 20 minute game drive to camp.

Arriving at Ol Pejeta is a scene from Out of Africa. Plains stretching to the horizon from beautifully decorated canvas tents. Relax for the afternoon before you start your first game drive in this magnificent area.

With four nights at Ol Pejeta there will be morning and afternoon game drives, night drives and walking safaris. There is also the opportunity to visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Cultural visits, the Endangered Species Centre and Lion Tracking ensure an immersion into the local people and wildlife of the area.

Bush breakfasts are an exclusive treat here.

Encounter Mara Camp – Mara Naboisho Conservancy

This morning your guide will drive you back to Nanyuki airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Mara Ol Seki. You will be met by our guide and driven to Encounter Mara Camp.

The camp has been expertly built into the forest and blends in with its environment. Giraffe and Zebra often stroll through the camp. Just ten tents, each with panoramic views over the rolling savanna, are tucked away into the trees. Game viewing from the main area is excellent with predators and herbivores sighted often from the couches.

Early breakfasts and packed lunches ensure you can spend as much time game viewing as possible. Predators are abundant as well as regular sightings of all the major prey species.

Morning and afternoon game drives and walking safaris can be done from this camp.

On your last day you will have an early breakfast before your guide drives you back to the Mara Ol Seki airstyrip for your return flight to Wilson Airport and your onward flight arrangements.
