Our Kenya family adventure has the best of both worlds for the whole family to enjoy. A bit of bush and a bit of beach. If its time for you to introduce your children to the wonders of nature or you would like to return for another family safari in Africa then this itinerary will tick all the boxes for you.
Starting with the bustle of Nairobi and having incredible interactions with Giraffe and baby Elephants the children will be absolutely enthralled with the information and opportunity to see these incredible animals so close. Imparting a love for wildlife and conservation early on is an great gift to impart.
Spending time in the Lewa and Masai Mara on game drives, nature walks and cultural experiences will open your eyes to the vast differences we experience and how much we take for granted each day. Big Five game viewing in both these areas is fantastic and encounters are plentiful. Elephant, Buffalo and many different antelope species will amaze you. Predators like Lion, Cheetah, Wild Dogs and Hyena are frequent.
After the adrenaline of the bush the Swahili coast is the time to sit back and relax. get in a round of golf, take the whole family snorkeling or just lie back at the pool while the kids swim and soak up the sun. A Kenya family adventure will keep everyone happy and entertained.

How to Get There
Fly In
Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with KLM, Swiss Air, Egypt Air, Emirates, Qatar, Lufthansa or South African Airways.
On your arrival in Nairobi you will be met by your safari representative who transfer you to your first nights accommodation at Giraffe Manor.

Full Itinerary
Day 1 – Giraffe Manor
On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to Giraffe Manor.
You and your family will have the opportunity to interact with these stately Rothschild Giraffes and enjoy breakfast with them.
Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, local brand soft drinks and alcohol as well as wireless internet. Airport transfers are also included.
Day 2 – 4 : Lewa Downs Wilderness Trails
This morning after breakfast with the Giraffes your driver will collect you for your visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see the work they do and interact with baby elephants – this is an absolute winner excursion for the kids. This organisation is playing a pivotal role in the conservation of Elephants.
After lunch your driver will transfer your family to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to Lewa Downs.
Spend three nights here doing morning and afternoon game drives.
You will be woken each morning with the friendly “Jambo” greeting as staff bring tea and coffee to your rooms before your day of adventure begins.
Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, nature walks, soft drinks, beer, non-premium brand drinks, laundry, airstrip transfers, guided walks, cultural visits, one horse or camel back safari, bush breakfasts, picnics, sundowners, visit to the cultural boma as well as the aerial walkway in the Ngare Ndare Forest.
Day 5 – 7 : Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp
This morning, after a delicious breakfast, you will depart with your luggage for a game drive back to the airstrip. Your light aircraft will fly you to the Masai Mara.
This is Kenya’s most famous park situated in the northern part of the Serengeti. The sights that greet you are truly magnificent and you are almost guaranteed of seeing the Big Fie all year round.
You will spend three nights at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp enjoying morning and afternoon game drives and the camp has a special “Wild Child” program for the kids to take part in. The children will learn about the Masai culture, how to make fires, bead bracelets and shoot bow and arrows.
A hot air balloon safari is a magical way for the family to gain a new perspective of the Masai Mara and the views are absolutely stunning. (Balloon safaris at additional cost)
Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, non-premium brand drinks, laundry, airstrip transfers and activities.
Day 8 – 10 : Al Fajiri Beach Villa
After an early morning game drive enjoy breakfast at the camp before your guide drives you back to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to the Kenyan coast and Diani beach. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Al Fajiri Beach Villas.
Settle in and relax on the Swahili coast, the beaches are endless and beautiful. This evening you will meet with the Villa manager who will suggest activities for your family. There are activities for the whole family as well as kite surfing, fishing, snorkeling and much more.
Your stay at Al Fajiri includes accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, non-premium brand drinks, laundry, wifi, airstrip transfers, personal butler, use of golf clubs and snorkeling equipment.
Day 11 – Departure
After breakfast and a last swim in the sea your family will be transferred back to the airstrip for your return flight to Wilson Airport.
You will be met at Wilson Airport by your safari representative and transferred back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and your onward flight arrangements.
