Description
Kilindi Zanzibar
Zanzibar Island
Kilindi Zanzibar is located in the Northern section of the island and about an hour’s drive from the airport. It is a very good idea to do a tour of the island or Stone Town itself during your stay. The hotel is quite modern but also eclectic in it’s design and decorating.
The hotel is set in 50 acres of lush, tropical gardens that is very unique to this property alone. There are views of the ocean or beaches from nearly every point and it’s easy to simply relax in this fantastic location. The “WaterFall” bar in the main pavilion overlooks a huge infinity pool which itself overlooks the warm Indian Oceans waters.
Dinners are usually al fresco on the terrace but can also be served as private meals on the beach for a magically romantic evening. The spa at Kilindi is spacious enough for a couple to be pampered together and has a good range of choices.
Pavilions
Kilindi Zanzibar has 15 pavilions that are all set in their own private garden with unbelievable views of the ocean and beaches. Each one has two private plunge pools that flow into one another. A dedicated butler is assigned to each room for guests convenience. Each one also has it’s own “rainfall” shower that is well worth enjoying by day and heavenly at night under the stars.
Bedrooms are all very spacious, light and allow the cooling breezes to flow through the spaces. The water reticulation system at the hotel is very unique with each pavilion having its own water tank under it that helps keep it cool while providing water for the pools, showers and toilets. A very eco friendly design system.
Children under 16 years are not permitted at Kilindi.
