Description

Kwando Splash Camp

Kwara Reserve – Okavango Delta

Kwando Splash Camp is located in the very heart of the Okavango Delta within the private Kwara Reserve. This is a very new camp and has been constructed to offer a relaxed atmosphere with warm and friendly staff. This particular area has been known as “splash” for many years by the locals due to the wide and deep water crossings that have to be negotiated to access the camp area.

The Kwara Reserve shares a 30 kilometre water boundary with the Moremi Game Reserve and the camps location boasts both permanent water and seasonal flood plains. Extensive dry bush supports very good predator densities. With many water channels around the camp and small islands it’s a very typical and perfect delta experience. The varied habitats and landscapes are some of the best for game viewing.

The Camp

Built around a pan, each of the 12 rooms has been built on a deck to look over the pan which attracts wildlife and birds year round. All the rooms are en-suite with a toilet, double vanity basins and indoor and an outdoor showers. A small private deck has loungers for relaxing between activities and to enjoy the fantastic views.

The main area has a plunge pool, bar, and lounge with a curio shop for those wanting souvenirs. In front of the main area is the fire pit where a light breakfast is served before your morning activity. It’s also the perfect location for pre-dinner cocktails and after dinner liqueurs.
