Description
&Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manayara Tree Lodge offers a true wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. The Great Rift Valley is at its most impressive here, with the escarpment dropping some 550 metres (1 640 feet) down to the lake shore. The park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant families it was established to protect. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants.
&Beyond Lake Manayara Tree Lodge is set in the heart of a mahogany forest. It is the only permanent lodge in the park of the same name.
Treehouse Suites
Each tree-house suite features generous decks suspended above the forest floor and large windows invite the lush forest inside. The classically elegant bedrooms are fitted with contemporary furnishing, overhead fans and billowing mosquito nets.
Crafted from local timber and Makuti palm fronds, the family suite is cradled in the boughs of ancient trees. It boasts two classically elegant en-suite rooms connected by an entrance hall. The main bathroom boasts a freestanding bath and an indoor shower while the second bathroom just an indoor shower. The family suite can accommodate two adults and two children, three children can be accommodated on special request.
