Description

Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge

Indian Ocean Private Island

Open All Year

On a permanent sandbar just off the coast of Tanzania, Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge is a private island offering sublime paradise surrounded by crystal clear waters. Built using local materials and with a distinct flair of Swahili culture the décor reflects the location and the banda’s are simple yet stunning.

Accessing the island is quite easy making it worthwhile to incorporate pre or post safari. The focus here is pure relaxation, long walks on the beach, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, swimming or simply doing nothing but work on your tan lines. There is a swimming pool at the main lodge and plenty of space here to socialize at the bar.

All meals are served in the main banda that has individual tables with sea views. Sunset meals are by far the best and private dinners can be arranged on the beach. The upstairs section is a perfect spot for sundowner drinks and has several comfortable couches.

Beach Banda’s

Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge has 12 banda’s all facing the sea and right on the beach and can be made up with twin or a single double bed. Each one also has an upstairs section with two beds that is ideal for children. The banda’s are very spacious and the top balcony has beautiful views out over the beach and ocean.

Tea and coffee facilities in each banda allow you to enjoy sunrise upstairs with your first cup of your choice.

The en-suite bathrooms are very spacious with twin vanity basins and a large shower area.
