Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge
Wogakuria Hills : Northern Serengeti
Closed April – May
In the far Northern Serengeti is the remote area of the Wogakuria Hills, here you will find Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge. Grass covered hills, woodlands and river banks lined with trees’ are diverse habitats that attract a wide range of animals for excellent year round game viewing.
The lodge is situated close to the Mara River and the border with the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya – the best of two excellent wildlife parks! The main guest area of the lodge is made up of two levels on which rest two tented structures that have stunning views out over the Serengeti plains.
A comfortable lounge area has a fireplace at each end as well as an extensive bar, the dining room is down a short wooden path where a table is laid for you each evening with crisp white linen. There is an extensive deck from which to enjoy the views and a fire pit for pre dinner drinks.
Tented Rooms
There are 15 very spacious guest tents at the lodge and are just shy of being very luxurious. Some of the rooms can be converted to accommodate three or even four guests that have small children. Spaced well apart you are assured of privacy in each tent but the walk can be steep and long to your room and back.
Double or twin beds are all enveloped in mosquito nets and sliding doors lead out onto the deck which is a perfect place for relaxing during the day.
The en-suite bathroom has twin basins on a wood counter with mirrors. There is a bath in front of one of the windows and a shower. Each of the tents deck has a private plunge pool and there is an outside shower in one corner.
