Built onto a hillside in Laikipia, in the heart of the Borana Conservancy, lies Lengishu House. An exclusive use family home it provides a luxury on a level not seen before on the safari circuit. The conservancy is the newest and home to one of the most successful Rhino breeding projects in Africa.
This is your chance to introduce your children to the dwindling numbers of Rhino in the world. From each vantage point in the house views stretch East to the horizon over the plains. The house comfortably sleeps 12 guests and prides itself on sustainable tourism activities. Your game drives or other activities are at your own pace, private staff cater to your every need and desire here.
Built by local artisans and making use of material that has been sourced locally the décor is simple, tasteful and very warm. The interiors combine the owners Scottish heritage with that of the local Samburu culture. Vaulted ceilings, several fire places and a warm inviting atmosphere.
Accommodation
Lengishu House comprises six luxuriously decorated bedrooms in 4 cottages. The cottages are set apart from the main house and all face East to capitalize on the incredible views.
Two of these cottage rooms are private making them ideal for couples while the upper and lower two cottages are perfect for families with children.
All the rooms are very spacious with an indoor fireplace and the en-suite bathrooms have a rain shower and free standing bath. The floor to ceiling windows provide incredible views for bath tub game viewing while you soak.
