Set in the Linyanti Concession which borders the famous Chobe National Park, Linyanti Tented Camp is the ideal base from which to explore the fantastic diversity the area has to offer. As a remote camp the experience it affords guests is difficult to match anywhere in Botswana. With over 125 000 hectares to explore its likely that your game sightings will be very good.
The camp is bordered by two very important water courses, the Linyanti River and the Savuti Channel. Both are important for the survival of a multitude of both birds and animals. Birding in this area is also excellent with both terrestrial and water fowl available for avid birders.
Set directly in the path of an important Elephant corridor herds of these magnificent animals appear daily and in great numbers. Other wildlife in this concession include rare Roan and Sable antelope and many other plains game. Predators such as Lion, Hyena, Leopard and Wild Dog are quite frequent occurrences.
Morning and afternoon game drives as well as walking safaris (seasonal and dependent on a qualified walking guide) will keep your days action packed and memories to last forever. The area is classified as an IBA (Important Birding Area) and a “log pile” hide is also available for those that would like really close water hole photography. The hide is action packed during the dry season when the surface water dries.
Safari Tents
With just four large and spacious tents the camp exudes an intimate safari atmosphere. Children 6 years and older are welcome at the camp. Children from 6 – 16 years must share a tent with an adult, The minimum age for walking is 13.
