Lions Paw Camp
Open year round
On the Eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, Lions Paw Camp rests under a forest of Red Thorn Acacia trees’ and has some of the best views out over the crater floor we have ever seen. At nearly 3 million years old the floor of the crater is one lush oasis providing food and shelter to a huge variety of wildlife.
Black Rhino, Elephant, Giraffe, Buffalo, Wild Dogs, large clans of Hyena and their ever present enemies, Lion all make for some of the most spectacular game viewing anywhere in Africa. From the lodge it is a brief 10 minute drive down to the Crater floor where the excitement starts immediately.
Full day game drives with a packed lunch can be arranged as well as guided nature walks. The main guest area is a spacious structure with a broad wooden deck and is a perfect venue for breakfast and the stunning views. There is a small gift shop as well as a spa for those looking for some pampering.
