Description

Little Machaba

Okavango Delta

Open year round

With views overlooking the floodplains of the Khwai River, Little Machaba is a small and classic safari camp offering an intimate stay in a game rich environment. The camp borders the Moremi Game Reserve and from July to October the area is thick with game thanks to the permanent waters.

Activities at the camp offer safari enthusiasts a great diversity of game drives, walking safaris, mokoro trips, night drives and visits to the local communities. The area is well known for regular sightings of Lion, Leopard and Wild Dogs. Guides are able to explore the private concession and the Moremi – a huge advantage for this small camp.

The main guest area at Little Machaba is a tent holding a lounge, bar and dining area on a raised wooden deck that overlooks the Moremi. There is a small library as well as a swimming pool and an excellent menu at the spa for some added pampering.

Safari Tents

There are just 4 tents at Little Machaba, 2 are standard while the other 2 are 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom, ideal family safari tents. All of the tents are built on raised wooden decks and connected to the main area with elevated wooden walkways.

The tents make the most of open mesh covered windows for light and evening breezes while the décor is warm and inviting.

Tents can be made up with twin or double beds and the en-suite bathrooms are replete with a shower, twin vanity basins and guest amenities. Three of the tents have an outside shower and all have an outside bath.
