Little Oliver’s Camp
Tarangire National Park
The main area at Little Oliver’s Camp has been designed for space and a feeling of openness. The lodge has a warm atmosphere and one feels instantly at home when entering. The deck at the front is very tempting for late afternoon drinks or sun downers just watching the game pass by and enjoying a beautiful African sunset.
Little Oliver’s Camp is just a kilometre downstream from Oliver’s Camp in the remote wilderness area of Tarangire National Park. At the end of the rainy season in April or May the area and vegetation is lush and green supporting beautiful flowers and is also the best time for walking safaris. Once the drier seasons start approaching from August through to October large herds of animals begin massing on the floodplains in front of camp. Birding on the flood plains is exceptionally good.
Luxury Tents
Little Oliver’s Camp comprises just five luxury tents that are well spaced allowing guests the utmost privacy in this idyllic camp. One of the tents is set further apart than the others and this is the honeymoon suite. All the guest suites are raised off the ground and built on wooden decks with a private veranda for relaxing and game viewing.
While the rooms may seem simple the finishes are of a very high quality with all the usual amenities one would find in a hotel or luxury safari camp. En suite bathrooms compliment each room as well as a fenced outdoor shower. I would highly recommend making use of the outdoor shower, there is no other place in the world one can do this and its so typically “safari”.
