Description
Loisaba Tented Camp
Loisaba Conservancy
Set amongst a grove of Acacia trees’ on the edge of an escarpment, Loisaba Tented Camp blends beautifully with her location and enjoys magnificent views out over the 56 000 acre Loisaba Conservancy. This area is a huge conservation success that has combined communities, conservation, ranching and tourism, plus the abundant wildlife, into perfect symbiosis.
From the large open dining area, the swimming pool or the deck, views stretch over the bush all the way to Mount Kenya that forms a fitting backdrop to the plains before you.
The main guest areas comprise two separate structures, one for communal meals and the other houses a lounge and bar area. The deck is a magical place for romantic candlelit meals if you’re on honeymoon. Loisaba Star Beds is supported from this camp and well worth a night sleeping under the stars. There is also an extensive children’s activity program, horse riding, mountain biking and camel rides.
Tents
There are eight standard tents and four family units, the family tents are connected by a walkway making this an idea camp for children on safari. The tents are very spacious made of canvas walls and a solid wooden frame. Windows are made up of mosquito proof mesh and the front opens out onto the deck and green lawns.
The en-suite bathroom is open plan with vanity basins, shower and toilet.
The horse riding team is very professional and a good degree of experience is required for this activity. While we didn’t come across dangerous game it is important to be able to control the animals if a situation does arise, nevertheless, this is an outing we can highly recommend.
