Superior chalets have been purpose built for families on safari in South Africa. Suites are spacious and luxurious and a children’s program keeps kids entertained.

Londolozi Founders Camp

Londolozi Founders Camp is set in the 35 000 acre Sabi Sands Private Game reserve. The camp offers one of the most unique African safari experiences in South Africa. The camp draws on 80 years of family history in conservation and is well known for African safaris.

Londolozi Founders Camp is an intimate bush experience with just ten chalets built on the Sand Rivers banks. The camp stands under old Matumi trees’ that offer privacy and shade during the heat of the day. Three of the ten Superior chalets have been built specifically for families. Founders Camp is the perfect location for your family safari to Africa.

Accommodation

The camp has 10 Superior Chalets, two Superior inter-leading chalets and three Superior Family chalets. Camp facilities includes a gym, children’s program, swimming pool, laundry service, spa and curio shop.

Game Viewing

As Londolozi Private Game Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park the area literally teems with animals. Big Five sightings at Londolozi are plentiful with this particular area specialising in Leopard. Both morning and afternoon game drives are possible and walking safaris for the more adventurous.

Over 300 bird species have been recorded on the reserve making this a birders paradise. If astronomy fascinates you then your guide will point out the southern constellations after dinner. Night drives can also be arranged to see some of the lesser known species.

Founders camp is well known for its luxury accommodation and exceptional service. Whether on game drive, in your room or enjoying the main lodge you will enjoy every aspect of this luxury safari.

How to Get There

Fly in

Federal Air operates a daily flight from Johannesburg International Airport to Londolozi Airstrip, which is a five-minute drive from the camp.

Flights from Skukuza

  • There are daily direct flights with SA Airlink from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Nelspruit KMIA and Skukuza Airport and the private game lodges.
  • A short, small aircraft transfer connects you onward to Londolozi’s doorstep on Airlink’s Lodge Link service to the Londolozi Airstrip
  • Alternativaley a 90 minute road transfer from Skukuza Airport to Londolozi is available on request.

 

By Road

If you are planning to fly in to KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) there is a two and a half hour transfer available on request.

From Johannesburg it is a 500 kilometer journey, an easy six-hour drive on National Roads.

The Sabi Sand Wildtuin levies a cash vehicle entrance fee of ZAR280.00 per vehicle and ZAR120.00 per person in the vehicle as well as any individual arriving by air. (subject to change)
