Description
Luxury Luangwa and Livingstone – 7 Days
South Luangwa National Park
Spend a 7-night luxury safari between South Luangwa National Park and Livingstone, home to the magnificent Victoria Falls. Fly in to Lusaka and on to Mfuwe, where you will begin your journey into the heart of Zambia. This is a country of rich culture, as well as one of the best wildlife destinations Africa has to offer.
Your first camp – Nsolo – is situated inside the park and the focus is on walking safaris. On foot is the best way to experience Africa – immerse yourself in the bush and discover her intricacies and inhabitants. Rooms at this luxury safari camp are spacious, while raised wooden decks offer perfect views over the river. After 3 days we move on to Mchenja camp. Here we will enjoy walking excursions, as well as guided game drives in open 4×4 vehicles.
Finally, fly to Livingstone and indulge in the romantic luxury of Tongabezi Lodge, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River. Spend two nights experiencing the immense beauty and power of the Falls, going on sunset cruises and exploring Livingstone town’s vibrant markets. Or if you are still keen on adventure, river rafting and rhino walks await!
There are many activities available in Livingstone including the museum – well worth a visit. Scenic helicopter flights over the falls reveal the immensity of the Batoka Gorge and this incredible geological feature of the Earth. Cultural visits to local villages are a fascinating insight into local traditions and the way of life. Seventy two different tribes make up Zambia and most all are friendly and welcoming.
Take a boat trip to Livingstone Island for sunset drinks on the edge of the gorge, canoe excursions on the Zambezi river and micro-light flights into the rainbow of the Falls.
