Built in the very scenic Wogakuria Kopje’s area, Mkombe’s House Lamai is slightly elevated and enjoys incredible views out over the plains. Having been designed for extended families or groups the house is able to accommodate up to 10 guests. The house is completely self contained and offers complete flexibility in terms of dining and game drives.

Upon entering the house from a modest doorway the lounge and dining rooms are off to the left and right. The lounge has been tastefully decorated with rustic furnishings, comfortable couches and soft carpeting. Behind the dining area is a small projection room that easily fits 10 people and where an evening can be spent watching movies. This is also where you will find the Wi-Fi and some board games for the children.

The house has it’s own housekeeping staff, chef and guide. For larger groups 2 guides and vehicles are provided. Outside there is an extensive deck on two levels, the upper level has a small plunge pool for children while the lower pool is larger. There are several places to relax with comfortable chairs and couches that enjoy fantastic views.

Mkombe’s House has 4 en-suite bedrooms, two of which are open at the front and all can be made up with double or twin beds. The two master rooms have outside showers as well as a star bed experience for sleeping under the stars.

Extra beds can be added to any of the rooms if required.

Between July and October this is one of the best destinations to view the Great Migration and some really dramatic river crossings.
