Description

Mpala Jena

Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls

Open Year Round

Opened in 2019 Mpala Jena is a small and very exclusive luxury lodge close to the famous Victoria Falls. Located on a private concession within the National Park the attention to detail, service and comfort of the lodge is astounding. This is the very first and only Relais & Chateau property in Zimbabwe and it’s evident why.

The camp was named after a natural spring that runs through the property which attracts diverse wildlife such as Elephant, Buffalo, Lions and a pack of rare African Wild Dogs. With a landscape of Baobab trees, Giraffe and troops of Baboon the banks of the river are a hive of activity. Between April and November bird watching here is excellent.

Just 16 kilometers from the small town of Victoria Falls all the adrenaline packed adventure activities are within easy vehicle or boat access. Far enough away from the town the camp is a serene place to relax in complete silence.

Luxury Tents

Mpala Jena’s 4 luxury tents lie under billowing canvas with open mosquito netted sides and wooden decks that reach out over the rivers waters. Spacious and with the finest furnishings the camp is completely solar powered.

Head height stone walls separate the master bedroom from the bathroom where you will find a ball and claw bath, copper pipes feeding the vanity basins and an outside shower.
