Description

Nehimba Lodge

Hwange National Park

Nehimba Lodge is a seasonal camp located right in the middle of Hwange National Park. Tucked away in a Mopane woodland the camp overlooks a large waterhole and enjoys exclusive game drives, walks and night drives in this private concession. The camp is un-fenced allowing a variety of wildlife to wander through day and night.

The main guest area is open and comprises a comfortable lounge area, bar and communal dining table. Below the steps is a swimming pool that is very welcome during the heat of the day and it’s not uncommon to share the water with a few thirsty Elephant who prefer the swimming pool water to the waterhole. If you are relaxing on the deck don’t be surprised to have a herd of Elephant mere feet away from you.

Game viewing during the dry season is spectacular, from June through to October.

Thatched Chalets

Nehimba has 9 thatched chalets in a half moon around the waterhole and to either side of the main guest area. There are 2 two bed-roomed family suites and a honeymoon suite and all the chalets are built with a combination of canvas and wood with glass windows.

Rooms can be made up as doubles or twin rooms complete with mosquito nets, ceiling fan and tea or coffee facilities. The en-suite bathrooms have a bath, dual basins and an outdoor shower.

Children are welcome at Nehimba, from 12 and younger paying 50% of the adult rate.
