Description
Ngare Serian
Mara North Conservancy
Ngare Serian is 100m away from Serian’s The Original and has exclusive use of a 16 square kilometre section of the conservancy. The camp is located on the West bank of the Mara River with beautiful views both up and downstream with prolific bird life amongst the dense foliage.
The camp is owned by Alex Walker who has been associated with East Africa for most of his life. On arriving at Ngare Serian guests first have to cross a fifty metre long suspension bridge over the Mara River. This is quite an exciting journey but also somewhat daunting if you don’t like heights.
The dining and lounge area here are all under a large thatched roof with a huge new deck that has fantastic views over the river. There is plenty of space to relax here, a small fire area for pre dinner drinks and a large communal dining table for dinners. Bush meals are the norm though.
Accommodation
There are just 4 guest tents here, though, tent is not the correct word as each one is simply massive in size. Each is a good distance from the next and built onto raised wooden decks they all have stunning views over the river and bush.
The tents have been well furnished with beds enveloped in mosquito nets, chairs, tables and a couch. With four sides open to the bush views are endless over the bush and river.
In line with the rooms, the en-suite bathrooms are also spacious with twin vanity basins and complimentary toiletries.
All guests have a private vehicle, guide and spotter that is assigned to them for the duration of their stay.
