Description

Nimali Central Serengeti

Serengeti National Park

Open year round.

Located in the heart of the Serengeti Plains, Nimali Central Serengeti has been built close to the famous Makoma Hills. The camp enjoys stunning views over the plains from it’s elevated position and is in the path of the annual Great Migration. This area of the Serengeti is well known for very large herds of Buffalo, Elephant and Giraffe. Grazing is very good here.

Where there is prey, so too are the predators and the area has excellent populations of Lion, Cheetah and Hyena that can be seen hunting regularly. As the area has many small hills and kopjes it’s not uncommon to find Lions resting on large granite boulders, surveying their domain and looking for the next meal.

The camp offers sundowners on game drives, hot air balloon safaris and decadent champagne breakfasts in the bush. A wide variety of spa treatments is also available.

Tent Suites

The camp has just eight tent suites on the lower slopes of a hill with breathtaking views out over the plains. Each room has been designed and decorated with space and comfort. From the mosquito draped beds to a small writing desk and private deck at the front.

Made of canvas each tent has plenty of windows to allow the breeze to pass through and to enjoy the bush views. The en-suite bathroom has double vanity basins and a rainshower. The bathroom amenities are quite luxurious.

Two of the tents are connected by a closed corridor making this an ideal family suite.
