Description

Nimali Mara Camp

Northern Serengeti National Park

Closed April and May.

Recently built and opened in one of the quieter areas of the Serengeti, Nimali Mara Camp is a 45 minute drive from the famous Mara River migration crossings. While this may seem a distance her location ensures guests enjoy a much more serene safari experience with few other lodges close by.

From July to October the camp is a an excellent location to see the migration. From November Nimali Mara is perfect for an exclusive safari and very good game viewing. The camp has been built around the granite rocks of a small kopje and the decor reflects an earthy feeling.

There is a swimming pool in the camp to cool off in. Game drives focus on the resident wildlife after October and full day excursions are the norm during the migration period. Spa treatments are available and a private sundowner experience can be pre booked on the rocks overlooking the plains.

Tent Suites

There are 8 very spacious safari suites at Nimali Mara. These are all located below the main guest area and are set far enough apart to ensure privacy. Each tent is a mix of canvas, granite and wood which exude a warm natural feeling. The king size bed is central and glass doors slide apart to reveal a wide private deck.

The en-suite bathroom in each suite is huge with a free standing copper bath, double vanity basins and a shower.

Two family suites have connected bedrooms, a central lounge area and a private plunge pool.
