Description
Nimali Tarangire
Tarangire National Park
Closed April and May.
Located within her own private concession, Nimali Tarangire is hidden away in Acacia and Baobab trees’ on the banks of a dry river bed. Her location is enviable, on the Eastern border of Tarangire there are far fewer lodges making the guest experience both exclusive and peaceful.
The privacy of the concession ensures very private safari experiences with no other vehicles allowed to traverse the area. A waterhole in front of the camp attracts a wide variety of game day and night and it’s not unusual to have Elephants around all day. The camp offers game drives, walking safaris and night drives and the obligatory sundowners on drive are always magical.
Day trips into the park, to Lake Manyara and to the Ngorongoro Crater can be arranged with a packed lunch. Fly camping can also be pre booked for those looking for an exclusive camping experience in a wild bush setting.
Expedition Tents
Nimali Tarangire has just 10 safari tents made of canvas and raised off the ground on a wooden deck. The tents look out over the riverbed and stunning scenery beyond. All of the tents are large with plenty of interior room for the king size bed and the wide deck at the front is perfect for armchair game viewing.
The en-suite bathrooms have double vanity basins and a fantastic rain shower. Two of the tents are linked making them ideal for families on safari with children. These also have a lounge area and private plunge pool.
Private meals can be arranged for guests wanting to enjoy a romantic evening together.
