Ol Malo House and Lodge
Laikipia Plateau
Closed April, May and November
Located on the Northern edge of the Laikipia Plateau, Ol Malo House and Lodge are a privately owned ranch in the heart of Samburu country. Both the House and Lodge are a wonderful blend of working cattle ranch and thriving co-existence with the surrounding wildlife.
The House was designed by everyone in the Francombe family and has something that caters for everyone, no matter what their age. The ranch produces most of what they need from vegetable gardens, solar power and their own cheese and butter, morning walks for children to milk the cows is usually a highlight of their stay at the ranch.
Activities at the ranch range from daily game drives to horse rides, camel treks, birding, the Samburu Trust, school visits and guided bush walks. For those that want to explore further, helicopter excursions can be arranged. Children and family are the focus here with a range of activities to suit all ages.
