This is where your time will stand still. Within the vast expanse in which Private Hide exists there is no sense of urgency and the safari is happening in every direction you look. A waterhole nearby attracts myriad wildlife from small mammals in the early evenings to the great grey Elephants in the heat of the day.

Exclusive dining with your family or friends makes this location incredibly memorable. Deluxe tents are spacious and cater for all your needs and dreams on safari in Africa. There are two family tents which can accommodation two adults and two children in full size comfortable beds. Each room has its own en suite bathroom – indoor bath, inside and outdoor shower and hot water all day. All rooms are mosquito-proofed and have fans for your comfort during the warmer months.

This is the ultimate secret getaway, The Dove’s Nest is located just 10 minutes from the main lodge. The elevated position provides sweeping views of the surrounding plains and the very best romantic getaway. Overlooking the open tree-lined marsh and pan where Giraffe and Elephants come down to drink.

After enjoying dinner at The Hide, a guide will take you on a night drive to The Dove’s Nest. A safety briefing is given and you are supplied with a radio for your peace of mind.

The Dove’s Nest is built to accommodate two people and the spacious and comfortable bedroom is reached by a wooden stairway.  The door can be closed and locked for peace of mind. Your guide will arrive in the early morning and drive you back to camp for breakfast.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly in to Victoria Falls with either British Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, South African Airways or Kenya Airways.

On your arrival at the airport you will be met by your safari representative. If you choose to fly in to Umsthibi airstrip its a 35 minute flight from Victoria Falls Airport and your safari representative will assist you onto you light aircraft.

On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to the camp.

Road Transfer

By road it is a two-hour journey to Hwange Main Camp where
you will be met by a Hide representative. The Hide is a little over an hours drive from Hwange Main Camp through the National Park. This transfer is conducted in a Hide open safari vehicle and offers game viewing opportunities en route.
