Qorokwe is bordered to the East and Wet by two fast flowing channels of the Okavango Delta. These channels ensure excellent game viewing and a combination of both land and water activities. Lion, Leopard, Hyena and plentiful other game are seen regularly on drives.

Okavango Delta

Qorokwe is well situated in the Okavango Delta between two important channels that create diverse habitats and outstanding game viewing. The camp is a unique Okavango experience for large herds of Elephant and Buffalo and good sightings of big cats and other predators. Situated in the South East of the Okavango Delta the concession is scattered Acacia woodland, some wetlands and seasonal floodplains.

Activities

Morning and afternoon game drives, night drives, walking safaris, boating and mokoro excursions excellent sightings are virtually guaranteed in this Delta camp. Many different herbivore species include Giraffe, Zebra, Buffalo, Lechwe and Tsessebe ensure lots of predators. Besides the big cats Cheetah, Wild Dogs and Hyena are all resident in this 65 000 acre concession.

Accommodation

With just eight tented suites and one family unit the lodge that has its own private pool this is an elegant lodge that provides a luxurious finish all around. The whole camp and tents overlook the lagoon in front of the camp making for exciting game viewing from the main area or your private deck during the hotter parts of the day.

Each tent is canvas sided raised on wooden decks and sandy paths that connect tents to the main area. Each tent has an en suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers. Spa treatments are available on request and availability of a therapist. An infinity pool also overlooks the lagoon with umbrellas and sun loungers, an idyllic place with a good book between game drives.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly to Maun from Cape Town or Johannesburg’s O R Tambo International Airports with SA Airlink, Air Botswana or South African Airways.

On your arrival in Maun you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you to a light aircraft for your flight to Qorokwe.

At the airfield you will be met by your guide for the short game drive to camp.
