Description
Richard’s Camp
Mara North Conservancy
Open all year
Richard’s River Camp was established in 2006 by the owners, Richard and Liz, as their second home when their son was born. The camp has been expertly situated on the banks of the Njageteck River while the Ngoyanai springs provide a permanent water source for the wildlife. This spring provides wildlife with a safe place to drink free from Crocodile.
When staying at Richard’s River Camp guests have direct access to the Mara North, Lemek and Ol Choro conservancies as well as the Masai Mara National Reserve. These diverse habitats support a wide variety of game and enhances the guest experience greatly.
Richard’s Camp is now famous for the resident pride of Lion who can often be seen from some vantage point within the camp. They have been seen hunting from the camp and their roars split the stillness of the night regularly.
With access available to so many different conservancies, all within a short drive, Richard’s Camp is one of the better safari camps for exclusivity and excellent all year game viewing.
Luxury Safari Tents
Richard’s Camp has just seven luxuriously appointed safari tents. These are ideal for both individual couples or small groups of friends that with to make use of the camp on a private basis.
Tents are spacious with either twin or double beds and extra beds can be added for smaller families. The en-suite bathrooms are also well appointed. The camp is completely solar powered with power available throughout the night.
