Your safari starts in Nairobi, Kenya and ends in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Starting in Nairobi at Giraffe Manor with optional visits to the Karen Blixen Museum and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. From the bustling and cosmopolitan streets of Nairobi head off into the wilds of the Serengeti and Masai Mara.

Enjoy the delightful Giraffe guests at breakfast, possibly one of the strangest experiences and yet incredibly humbling at the same time.

Kichwa Tembo, Grumeti and Serengeti Under Canvas with excellent all year round big game sightings. Horse back trails, Masai Village visits and hot air balloon rides offer some of the finest ways to experience Kenya and Tanzania together. Spend an afternoon on your private deck or on the main deck at Grumeti camp and watch the hippo interactions.

Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with KLM, Swiss Air, Egypt Air, Emirates, Qatar, Lufthansa or South African Airways.

On your arrival in Nairobi you will be met by your safari representative who transfer you to your first nights accommodation at Giraffe Manor.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 – Giraffe Manor

On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by your safari representative who will transfer you to your fist nights accommodation at Giraffe Manor.

Surrounded by acres of indigenous forest the resident Giraffe wander the grounds quite casually. Beautifully appointed rooms, fireside cocktails each evening and a choice of relaxed or energetic activities here will ensure the start to your Africa safari is perfect. Your breakfast will be most interesting as you share it with the Giraffe in the morning.

If time permits we can arrange a tour of the Karen Blixen Museum alternatively a visit to the Elephant Orphanage.

Spend one night at Giraffe Manor in a Standard Suite. Your stay includes accommodation, meals, house wines, local brand drinks, laundry, wifi and airport transfers.

Day 2 and 3 – Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

After an early breakfast with the Giraffe your personal chauffeur will drive you to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to Kichwa Tembo airstrip. You will be met by your guide for who will drive you to camp.

Kichwa Tembo is a classic safari camp set amongst dense vegetation and reflects an era of old world safari styles. A swimming pool is set under the trees with incredible views of the surrounding landscapes.

Spend two nights here enjoying morning and afternoon game drives with your guide and discovering the abundant wildlife this area has to offer.

Additional cost activities of balloon safaris, bush dinners, horseback trails and visits to the local Masai village can be arranged.

Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, game drives, local drinks, refreshments on game drive, airport transfers and medical evacuation insurance.

Day 4 and 5 – Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp

This morning you will depart the Masai Mara for a flight to Migori Airstrip where you will be welcomed and driven to Tarime. At this point you will cross into Tanzania and board another flight bound for the Serengeti National Park.

The Grumeti area is known for its excellent game sightings and lies right in the path of the migration route and the dramatic river crossings. The camp is situated at the most famous of fording points for the animals and is also known for its exceptional year round game sightings.

Rooms all look out onto the river and resident Hippo populations and each boasts a private deck with superb views.

Additional cost activities of a Full Day Lake Victoria Trip and hot air ballooning are also available.

Day 6 and 7 – Klein’s Camp

After an early morning breakfast you will game drive to Grumeti Airstrip for your flight to Lobo Airstrip. On arrival you will be met by your guide who will drive you to camp.

Perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills Kleins Camp features intimate safari accommodation. Each cottage has an en suite bathroom with a private deck that has sweeping views over the  valley. A rich diversity of wildlife and huge herds of Elephants this area will blow you away for its unmatched game viewing. Morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris and night drives will keep you thoroughly entertained.

Your stay at Klein’s camp includes accommodation, all meals, game drives, bush walks, night drives, local brand drinks and laundry.

Day 8 and 9 – Serengeti Under Canvas

Enjoy a morning game drive and a delicious breakfast before your guide drives you to the airstrip for your flight to Serengeti Under Canvas.

The excitement of staying in a Bedouin style tent is fantastic and each has an en suite bathroom with outdoor bucket shower. This camp goes far beyond the boundaries of a traditional safari in Tanzania. Each tent is absolutely luxurious and is constantly relocated with the million strong herds of animals as they move on their migration.

The camp is located in a remote corner of the Serengeti and is renowned for its incredible game sightings.

Your stay includes accommodation, meals, airstrip transfers, local drinks, all game activities and laundry.

Day 10 and 11 – Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

After your morning game drive and breakfast your guide will drive you back to the airstruip for your flight to Manyara Airstrip. Here you will be warmly welcomed and driven to camp.

Perched on the edge of the Crater rim and affording mind blowing views over the plains below the lodge is perfectly situated for you to enjoy this area.

Steeped in romance, each mud and thatch hut is sumptuously luxurious and the bedroom, bathroom and sitting room have floor to ceiling glass windows to accentuate the views from every area of your suite. En suite bathrooms feature huge showers and chandelier lit bathtubs.

Personal butlers discreetly attend to all your needs from serving drinks to drawing a piping hot bath.

Your two night stay includes accommodation, meals, local brand drinks, game drives and laundry.

Additional cost activities include private sundowners on the Crater rim, private dinner in the wine store, African drummers, walks to the Crater rim or Lake Eyasi and Hadzabe Bushmen Experience.

Day 12 – Departure

After breakfast this morning your guide will drive you to the airstrip for your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport and your onward flight arrangements.
