Saguni Safari Lodge
Moremi Game Reserve
Saguni Safari Lodge is nestled on an island of tall, dense riparian trees, quite typical of the Okavango Delta. The lodge overlooks the Mbudi Lagoon, part of the Sable River in the beautiful game-rich area of Khwai. The name ‘Saguni’ in the local bushman dialect means “an area with abundant game and spectacular sights”.
The food at Saguni Safari Lodge is absolutely fantastic, a high standard is maintained with fresh ingredients and a varied menu is available. There is an abundance of food at each meal as well as high tea in the afternoons and delicious snacks for you to enjoy on activities.
Meal times revolve around the days activities and are served outdoors on the deck area or in the warmth of the dining room. Dinner is a communal table making it a sociable affair to discuss sightings and wildlife interactions. Main courses are buffet-style, with plated starters and desserts. Its customary after dinner to enjoy a drink around the campfire listening to the night sounds of the African bush.
Safari Tents
The lodge has eight luxury and six standard tents, these are either twin beds or a conversion to create a double bed. Each tent at Saguni Safari Lodge is well-positioned for the utmost privacy and seclusion. All the tents feature a luxurious en-suite bathroom and face the river ensuring stunning views. There is both a family room and a honeymoon suite available.
Saguni Safari Lodge has two tents that are easily accessible for wheelchairs and senior citizens. These tents are conveniently located within easy reach of the main area. All the luxury tents are air-conditioned and powered through the solar system.
