Sanctuary Chiefs Camp allows the name to say it all. A sanctuary in the heart of this World Heritage Site and UNESCO protected area. It was once the royal hunting ground for Chief Moremi. This lodge is sublime luxury in a wilderness of wildlife and water.

The Okavango Delta is a maze of streams, channels, islands and waterways that are abundant with birds, wildlife and lush green vegetation year round. Morning and evening game drives will literally guarantee some sort of action from large herds of elephant, packs of wild dogs, buffalo herds in their thousands and antelope diversity to astound you. This camp is for discerning safari enthusiasts as well as first time visitors and is also ideal for the family safari.

Accommodation

Each pavilion is spacious and comfortable and boasts some of the largest rooms of all the safari camps in Botswana. Modern amenities and old safari style all meet from air conditioning to traditional fans, outdoor showers, huge hot tubs and floor to ceiling glass doors that allow the sights and sounds of the bush into your room. Cuisine is some of the finest to be found in all Africa and they have the awards to prove it.

The Geoffrey Kent Suite is sublime luxury at this incredible destination. You are assured of great comfort and the utmost privacy. The suite sleeps six guests with a kitchen, indoor lounge, private boma for late night dining and secluded deck areas. The suite is replete with a private vehicle, guide, personal chef, waiter and housekeeper.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly in to Maun from Johannesburg with either Air Botswana, SA Airlink or South African Airways.

Flights with SA Airlink from Cape Town are also possible.

On your arrival in Maun you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you to your light aircraft for the flight to Chiefs Camp.
