Description

Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Southern Central Serengeti

Having been described as “a stunning tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti” and with excellent access to the annual migration, Serengeti Pioneer Camp is perfectly situated to deliver a lifetime safari experience. Constructed on the slopes of a small kopje there are panoramic views of the Moru Kopjes, Lake Magadi and the endless plains of wild bush.

Possibly the best place in the entire camp is the lounge area that has stunning views across the woodlands and plains of the Serengeti. The canvas sides of this area are usually rolled up making it a very welcoming place to relax in between game drives. In a small cleft of the hills lies the dining area that is also quite open to let in cool breezes and bring the views right inside. Breakfasts and dinners are served here at individual tables.

Lunches, if not taken out in the bush on your full day game drive, will be in amongst the trees’ and bush of the camp.

Safari Tents

Pioneer Camp has 12 safari tents that have been well placed for privacy on the hillside and each one has a view out over the landscape. Tents have been very beautifully furnished and the front can be opened completely to really maximize the views. Tents can be made up with a king size bed or two queen beds and there is space for a writing desk and coffee station.

The en-suite bathrooms consist of vanity basins, shower and toilet.
