Description
Serengeti Safari Camp
Serengeti National Park
Open Year Round
Serengeti Safari Camp is a mobile tented camp that changes her location depending on the time of year in order to follow the huge herds of the Great Migration.
From December to April the camp is close to Lake Ndutu for the calving season and incredible predator interactions. From May to July the camp is in the Western Corridor and Grumeti as the herds move North. August to October the camp then moves to the far Northern Kogatende area to witness the dramatic river crossings.
While the camp exudes luxury it retains it’s past Colonial influences with bucket showers – hot water on request and plenty of it – and chemical toilets to preserve the environment. The main guest area is a large tent, open at the sides to enjoy the views with a comfortable lounge area and a communal dining table for evening meals. Here you will also find the charging station for all your electronic devices.
Safari Tents
Serengeti Safari Camp has 7 tents that are scattered in amongst the bush. All are very spacious and two have been designed as family tents sleeping 4 guests each. Each of the tents can be made up as double or twin beds and have a luggage rack, writing table and solar lighting on the bedside tables.
The en-suite bathrooms are well designed with good space for the vanity basin, toilet and shower. Hot water for the bucket shower is easily arranged and prompt in delivery.
Activities focus on game drives and these can be morning and evening or full day drives with a packed lunch. Every effort is made to place the camp amongst the migration but wildlife is unpredictable and will follow their primary food source of fresh grass.
